T-hangars in North Florida: what to know

A T-hangar row packs small aircraft efficiently by nesting each unit's wing area beside the next unit's tail, with planes alternating direction down the row. Every unit gets its own door, most often a bifold or a bypass slider, and shares side walls with its neighbors. Rows are popular at public airports and with owner groups who split the cost. The unit width follows the wingspan of the aircraft the row is meant for, and the tail section height follows its tail. End units can be enlarged or finished as storage or a small shop.
